Risk Management Strategies For Effective Patient Communication

Healthcare professionals today routinely use several different modes of communication with patients. Patients’ experiences with your communication can have either positive or negative consequences on your relationship. Better patient communication can help to mitigate your liability risk. This webinar will review how the manner in which patient communication is handled can improve patient safety, continuity of care and decrease liability risks. Patient scheduling as well as telephone calls, email inquiries and text messaging with patients will be discussed with risk management recommendations provided. Case studies exemplifying risk management issues will be presented along with strategies to help identify and mitigate these risks.
